Nutrition

Try to think of the body as a fine tuned piece of machinery. To operate at maximum efficiency it needs care and attention, and just as your car needs good quality fuel and clean water to run at it’s best so you need regular nutritious meals and water to keep yourself healthy.

The most important meal of the day is your breakfast. Don’t skip it under the illusion that it will help you lose weight. Quite the opposite is true.

Your body needs fuel to see you through the most active part of your day, otherwise it goes into starvation mode thinking “she’s not going to feed me I’d better lay down some fat to cope with the siege”.

What food’s suit you?

Watch your body for signs of feeling sleepy, headaches or a muzzy head after mealtimes, these are all signs of food intolerances.

Be aware of what foods affect you in this way and then leave them out of your diet for a while to see what difference it makes.
Food intolerances are due to a lowered immune system, contributing factors being poor quality of food and everyday stresses.

What you need to maintain a healthy diet

  • A good vitamin and mineral supplement every day.
  • Fresh food that is washed well.
  • A good selection and as wide a range of foods as possible.
  • Leave out junk, processed foods and stimulants from your diet.
  • Plenty of water.

Tired all the time, have low energy, bloating, back and neck pain, irritable bowel problems, depression, P.M.S, food cravings, recurrent infections, or an inability to lose weight?

These and many other symptoms can be helped by a change of diet and lifestyle.

What are the benefits of exercise?

  • Most of it is natural and can cost you nothing but a bit of discipline and time.
  • It makes you feel good, releases endorphines and encephalins, the feel-good chemicals made by the body
  • It does you good by working on every system of the body including the respiratory, digestive, vascular, lymphatic, endocrine, neurological, skeletal, muscular and the genito-urinary system.
  • It makes you look good and gives a glow to the face.
  • It helps to make friends. It can be very social even if you don’t join a club.
  • Raises energy levels and gives you more energy. When all the body systems are all working together the result is more energy.
  • You don’t need to go out and buy fancy sportswear. You can usually find something comfortable and casual to wear in your wardrobe. But if you like going clothes shopping here’s another wonderful opportunity for a new outfit.
